Musica Requiem is the brainchild of well-known Music Director Frank McNamara. Having spent twenty years as musical director to RTE’s The Late Late Show, in more recent years Frank has toured extensively and has written for and conducted many of the greatest orchestras of the world, including The Boston Pops, The Pittsburgh Symphony, The San Francisco Symphony, The Cleveland Pops, The Detroit Symphony, The Royal Philharmonic, The Melbourne Symphony, The Auckland Philharmonic and has performed in many of the world’s most prestigious venues, such as Madison Square Gardens in New York, The Sydney Opera House and The Royal Albert Hall in London. Frank has worked with many of the world’s great artists, including LeAnn Rimes, Seal, Duran Duran, Jewel, Counting Crows, Gladys Knight, Roger Daltrey, Chaka Khan, Ben Folds, The Irish Tenors, The American Tenors, Aaron Neville, Larry Adler and Denis O’Neill. Our musicians and singers are hand-picked by Frank McNamara for their ability and excellence. Selected from the best players of the National Symphony Orchestra, The RTE Concert Orchestra and The Irish Chamber Orchestra, freelance players both in Ireland and the UK, the Musica Requiem orchestra and chorus is of the highest standard.
